Davido Speaks on His Relationship With Cristiano Ronaldo.
Nigerian Afrobeat superstar David Adedeji Adeleke OON, who is professionally known as Davido, has opened out about his relationship with Portuguese famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
The owner of DWM and frontline performer see the football legend as a very close friend.
The singer discussed how great people receive negative public attention during a recent episode of the ABTalks podcast with presenter Anas Bukhash, citing Ronaldo’s World Cup performance as an example.
The Afrobeats superstar, who is Ronaldo’s only African artist on Instagram, described the 5-time World Footballer of the Year as a good friend and criticized those who insulted the Portuguese national team captain after their World Cup exit, claiming that the forward had done everything he could to help his team.
He said: Look at Cristiano Ronaldo when he left the World Cup. He is my friend, by the way. He is my very good friend. When he left the World Cup, I remember being on the internet, and the trolls were abusing him so much, even after everything that he has done.
