Multiple award-winning singer and global Afrobeats star, Davido, has spoken out following two devastating incidents in Nigeria: the kidnapping of 25 schoolgirls in Kebbi State and a deadly attack on a church in Kwara.

In a heartfelt message shared on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, the Grammy-nominated artist expressed deep sorrow over the rising wave of violence across the country. Davido said his “heart goes out” to the abducted girls and their families, stressing that no parent should ever have to endure such trauma.
According to him, Nigerians must stand together in the fight against insecurity and work toward a country where children can “grow up in safety and hope.”
He wrote:
“My heart goes out to the young girls kidnapped in Kebbi State and to their families. No family deserves this pain.”
Davido also reacted to the tragic attack on a church in Kwara State, offering condolences to those who lost loved ones. He condemned the violence strongly, insisting that such horrific events must never be accepted as normal.
In his words:
“I am deeply saddened by the tragic attack on the church in Kwara State. I pray for the families who lost loved ones and for everyone affected by this heartbreaking incident. These acts of violence must never become our norm.”
The singer further called for public cooperation in efforts to rescue the kidnapped schoolgirls, urging anyone with credible information to report it safely to the authorities.
“Everything must be done to bring the Kebbi girls home safely,” he added.
Davido concluded his statement with prayers for the safe return of the abducted girls, comfort for grieving families in Kwara, and divine intervention to end the wave of violence troubling communities nationwide.
The incidents have triggered widespread concern, intensifying calls for stronger security measures and urgent government intervention to protect lives — especially those of vulnerable children.
