Nigerian award-winning artist Davido has reacted to Anthony Joshua’s triumph over Francis Ngannou in the much-anticipated boxing bout held in Saudi Arabia.
Davido, while expressing his backing for Anthony Joshua, admitted to being drawn to the charisma of Cameroon’s mixed martial boxer, Francis Ngannou. Nevertheless, the 30BG boss reiterated his unwavering love and support for AJ, proudly representing Nigeria.
His post on social media read, “As a Nigerian of course I want AJ to win … but e get one soft spirit wey this Francis get and plus his story again … u go come Dey use style gbadun him way!! 😂 But gotta stick with the Homeland 🇳🇬.”
At last, Davido’s encouragement paid off when, on March 8, 2024, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Joshua defeated Ngannou in the second round.
This resulted in a follow-up message expressing the singer’s bewilderment at how quickly the battle had ended.
