David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, reacts after receiving praise from his uncle Ademola Adeleke, executive governor of Osun State, after his outstanding performance at the World Cup closing ceremony on Sunday, December 18.
As you may recall, Davido performed the World Cup team anthem, “Hayya Hayya (Better Together),” with other musicians, and this stood as a major accomplishment for representing Nigeria and Africa as a whole on the international arena.
In response, Ademola Adeleke posted a video of himself and others watching Davido’s performance on television along with a congratulations message on his social media accounts.
He wrote:
Myself and the beautiful people of Osun love you @davido. We all watched your performance live and you put a smile on our faces. Thank you for representing the nation yet alone the state of Osun.”
