Davido and Nollywood actress trade words in heated online clash
Nigerian music star Davido has hit back at Nollywood actress Esther Nwachukwu after she weighed in on his ongoing dispute with media personality Destiny Ezeyim, popularly known as Radiogad.
The controversy erupted when Radiogad publicly shared alleged threatening messages from Davido, who was reacting to critical posts about him. In the leaked chats, Davido warned Radiogad never to mention his name again, swearing on his late mother’s life while expressing his frustration.
As the online feud escalated, Esther Nwachukwu jumped into the conversation, criticizing Davido’s response. She compared him to his longtime industry rival Wizkid, pointing out that celebrity blogger Tunde Ednut frequently trolls Wizkid without receiving a reaction. According to her, public figures like Davido should be open to scrutiny from media commentators.

However, Davido wasted no time in responding. Taking a direct jab at the actress, he wrote, “I can smell you from here, ur papa.”
Rather than taking offense, Esther turned the exchange into a moment of celebration. She proudly shared a screenshot of Davido’s comment, claiming it was an achievement for the superstar to acknowledge her.
“No one should talk to me anyhow, I am not your mate,” she declared. “Davido commented on my page and said he could smell me. It’s not easy for Davido to notice anyone, but he noticed me. So, put some respect on my name.”
Surprisingly, despite the insult, Esther announced that she had now become a Davido fan. While she previously supported only Wizkid and Naira Marley, she revealed that she had now added Davido to her list of favorites.
“I am proudly Wizkid FC, but I have now joined Davido’s fan base too. I won’t insult Davido again—I love OBO now,” she concluded.
