Davido Makes 2nd Appearance On Fallon Tonight Show With Melodious Performance.
Afrobeats superstar Davido has made his second appearance at the Jimmy Fallon Tonight Show with a medley performance of “Feel” and “Unavailable”, both from his Timeless studio album.
This comes on the heels of the inaugural edition of his Away Festival in Atlanta, and a remarkable way to mark his 31st birthday. In 2020, he had his first performance on the show, rendering ‘D&G’ and the famous ‘Fall’ which has earned him over 200 million streams on YouTube.
Backed by live instrumentation and two dancers, Davido finds the balance between his vibrant presence and the colorful but close setting, putting in a confident shift that highlights his vast experience performing on different types of stages all over the world. While the appearance is in promotion of ‘Timeless ’, it’s important to note that Davido is also celebrating his three Grammy nominations for the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, which will be presented in 2024.
On a brighter scale, this further proves that the Afrobeats circuit has actively expanded and Nigerian singers are making the late-night format a preferred venue to expand its audience. Top on the list of other artists who have performed on Fallon Tonight are Wizkid, Rema, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Asake and many more.
