Nigerian music icon Davido, has lauded Don Jazzy as the latter sells a majority stake in Mavins Records to Universal Music Group for billions of Naira.
As reported by Mp3bullet, Universal Music Group (UMG) has finalized the acquisition of a controlling interest in the Nigerian record label, Mavin.
In a statement released on Monday, February 27th, 2024, UMG announced that the deal, pending regulatory approval, is expected to be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2024.
Responding to the significant development at Mavin Records, Davido expressed his admiration for Don Jazzy, praising him for his outstanding contributions to the Nigerian music industry. He affectionately referred to Don Jazzy as the king.
