Davido fulfills his promise to give out N300M to orphanages in Nigeria
Award-Winning Nigerian entertainer David Adedeji Adeleke, better known as Davido, has finally fulfilled his pledge to donate N300 million to orphanages in Nigeria.
On February 21, 2024, the DMW leader released the proof on his verified page on the famous microblogging network X, which was previously known as Twitter.
Recall that Davido made news on February 20th, 2024, when he returned to his charitable endeavor of donating to orphans each year.
In his announcement, OBO pledged N300 million to orphanages across Nigeria, stating that details of the disbursement would be shared the following day.
He wrote, “I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria… as my yearly contribution to the Nation ❤️ .. details of disbursement tomorrow 🇳🇬.”

Notably, in 2021, Davido donated a total of N250 million to 292 orphanages across the country. Additionally, in July 2023, he disbursed N237 million to the less privileged through the David Adeleke Foundation.
Confirming the latest development, Davido announced that he had credited the foundation account with N300 million, with further details to be provided soon.
