Why There Aren’t Any Depressing Songs on Davido’s “Timeless” Album, the artist explains.
Even though he recently went through difficult times, renowned Nigerian musician David Adedeji Adeleke, known professionally as Davido, has explained why he decided not to make any sad songs on his most recent album “Timeless.”
The multi-award-winning Afrobeats superstar is known for being a joyful person, and he plans to remain that way despite any difficulties he encounters.
The DWM frontline artist and owner, who is presently the talk of the town with the publication of his eagerly awaited studio album titled “Timeless,” which has continued to rule the music landscape – both locally and worldwide – decided to remain cheerful despite his recent setback.
At the press conference for the event, the singer discussed the arrangements for the event and other exciting things to look forward to. On Sunday, April 23, 2023, the artist is scheduled to perform his ‘Timeless’ album for the first time in the homeland at the 50,000-capacity Tafawa Balewa Square Lagos.
During the press conference, a journalist deviated from the main topic and asked why the artist didn’t include more personal content in his new album.
In response to the question, Davido stated that he has always been the one who makes his music happy and lively and that this is the attitude he brought to the ‘Timeless‘ album. He stated:
There’s emotion but not too much emotion in the album. If you listen to Davido’s music over the years, I have always been a happy person whether I was going through something or not.
That side of my life, if I want to talk about it, there’s time for that but on this album that’s not what I was going for.
