I will be happy if I win Grammy – Davido.
Afrobeats superstar Davido recently stated that he would be delighted to win a Grammy. He insisted, though, that he didn’t release his most recent album, “Timeless,” with the goal of garnering accolades.
This was introduced by Davido in a recent Brut interview. The singer of “Dami Duro” claimed to be a digital artist, but he had to record a live album for his collaboration with The Cavemen and Grammy-winning Beninese great Angélique Kidjo for the song “Na Money.”
I was glad that I was out of my space and could perform that song [“Na Money,” he remarked. I record songs digitally since I’m a digital artist.
“But for that song [‘Na Money’], we had to record it live because The Cavemen record live.”
He continued, “If I win a Grammy, I will be happy, but I didn’t make this album [‘Timeless’] because I wanted to win anything.
“I made this album going into it, you know, happy, natural, you know what I’m saying!”
Meanwhile, Producer Samklef Unleashes A Bomb: “Wizkid And I Made The New Afrobeat Sound”.
With Grammy-winning artist Wizkid, Nigerian music producer Samklef has claimed that they invented the new Afrobeat sound.
On June 8, 2023, the great producer—who helped create Wizkid’s early smash songs including “Don’t Dull,” “Tease Me,” and “Pakurmo” said as much in a brand-new tweet.
Furthermore, Samkle boasted in the post that he and Wiz are the co-creators of the “new Afrobeat sound [sic],” which is currently popular all over the world. People who believe otherwise risk hitting their heads against the wall, he said.
