“Davido, Burna Boy and WizKid are my boys in the industry” – Speed Darlington Reveals

Rapper Speed Darlington discusses his reasons for not wanting to collaborate with WizKid, Davido, and Burna Boy, three of the biggest names in Afrobeats.

In an interview with HipTV, the Nigerian rapper who is currently living overseas discussed his musical career.

He claims that because Davido, WizKid, and Burna Boy are not on the same level as him, he has no interest in working with them on music.

He stated that he would not like it if, after he achieved great fame, one of the artists approached him and claimed credit for his success.

Speed Darlington argued that he already commands attention on Nigerian social media platforms and doesn’t require a partnership with any of them to succeed.

The rapper said in a recent interview with Wazobia Nedu’s Honest-Bunch podcasts that he does not write songs for the underprivileged.

Speed Darlington continued by saying that Audiomack, a music streaming service, is just for the impoverished and that his fans cannot discover his tracks there.

In his words, “I don’t m*ss with Audiomack. Audiomack is for poor people. My music is not for the poor. If you no get money, you can’t have my song.”
