Davido breaks new record! Becomes 1st African artist to sell out 16k-capacity venue in Canada

Nigerian Afrobeat superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has achieved another remarkable milestone in his career.

Following a successful show in Toronto, Davido became the first African artist to sell out a 16,000-capacity venue in Canada, surpassing the achievements of Burna Boy and Wizkid.

Previously, Burna Boy made history as the first African artist to sell out shows in America in August 2022, while Wizkid became the first African artist to perform at an 80,000-capacity venue in the United Kingdom.

Fans of Davido have taken to social media to celebrate his incredible accomplishment. In addition to the sold-out show, Davido’s track “Unavailable” also achieved a personal best with the highest single-day streams, reaching 767,000 listens on Saturday, July 15.

Davido continues to make waves in the music industry, setting new records and delighting fans around the world.
