Davido praised for N300 million donation
The Coalition of Orphanages and Children’s Homes in Nigeria (COCHIN) has expressed gratitude to global sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, for his generous donation of N300 million to orphanages across the nation.
In February 2024, Davido’s substantial contribution garnered attention, benefiting 42 of COCHIN’s 52 member orphanages.
The coalition emphasized that no Nigerian, including the government, had shown such support before.
Davido shared the letter of appreciation from COCHIN on his X page on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

This isn’t the first time the artist has supported orphanages in Nigeria; in November 2021, he donated N250 million to 292 orphanages to mark his 29th birthday.
To bring his vision to life, Davido has teamed up with notable platforms like Phantom and Solana, two key players in the blockchain industry. By collaborating with these established platforms, he aims to ensure the stability and growth of $Davido, leveraging their expertise and networks within the crypto space.
The $Davido meme coin has been on an upward trend, drawing increasing interest from fans and investors alike. Many are closely monitoring the coin’s performance, eager to see how it will fare in the market.
While the future of $Davido remains uncertain, this isn’t the first time he has made waves online. He previously captured attention in 2021 with his own Twitter emoji, demonstrating his knack for engaging with his audience in innovative ways.
