Davido takes on a new challenge in 2024 with Timeless concert at the Madison Square Garden.
Afrobeat superstar Davido has excitedly announced that he will be gracing the iconic Madison Square Garden in the US with a performance in April 2024. The renowned arena, with a capacity of 19,000, has hosted top artists like Wizkid and Burna Boy in 2022, and now it’s set to be the next destination for the Grammy-nominated singer.
Davido’s Timeless tour has been a resounding success in both the US and Europe. Following the sold-out A.W.A.Y. Festival at the State Farm Arena, the singer continues to solidify his position as one of the foremost Afrobeat stars.
The official announcement, made through Billboard, has generated excitement among fans eager to witness Davido’s performance at this legendary venue.
In his interview with Billboard, Davido expressed the significance of performing at Madison Square Garden, highlighting the stage’s importance in his artistic journey.
He said, “Seven years ago, I walked past Madison Square Garden and looked at it and said, ‘We gonna come back and shut this down, So to be here now, able to play Madison Square Garden, in New York, one of the first cities and fans to embrace my music, at this iconic venue … it’s a dream come true.”
In addition to his Madison Square Garden performance, Davido has confirmed that he will be taking his Timeless tour to Montreal’s Place Bell on April 19, 2024. The tour will conclude with a final show at Orlando’s Additional Financial Arena on April 24, 2024.
This latest milestone adds to Davido’s impressive list of achievements and underscores his growing influence on the global music stage.
