Proposed Cyberstalking of Benin Crown Prince Sparks Issue
Nigerian songstress Cynthia Morgan, also known as Madrina, has found herself in a legal tangle yet again. Reports reveal that she’s been allegedly arrested for cyberstalking none other than the Crown Prince of Benin, Prince Ezelekhae Ewuare.
According to legal filings, Morgan has been fervently attempting to contact the Prince, even going as far as trailing him on his regular activities.
Despite her persistent efforts, she’s been unable to make any headway. This frustration apparently led her to resort to posting false and defamatory statements about him on Instagram, starting as far back as 2020, and continuing up to the present.
The situation escalated when the Crown Prince took legal action against her, cautioning her to cease her defamatory behaviour.
However, Morgan reportedly disregarded these warnings. Matters worsened when she managed to contact the prince on May 3rd, 2024, allegedly displaying concerning behaviour indicative of mental distress.
This isn’t the first time Morgan’s name has been in the headlines for controversy involving the Crown Prince. Previously, she publicly accused him of witchcraft and physical assault, purportedly to hinder her from marrying someone else.
In response to Morgan’s allegations, the Crown Prince took to Instagram to announce his plans to take legal action. Morgan, on her part, stood firm, promising to share her side of the story, and even shared images of her and the Prince from 2018 as evidence.
However, in a surprising turn of events, Morgan later contradicted her previous statements in a podcast, denying any intimacy with the Prince and revealing a lack of personal knowledge about him, including his residence, leaving many puzzled.
Beyond her relationship with the Crown Prince, Morgan has also been outspoken about her experiences within the entertainment industry, including allegations of sexual abuse by her half-siblings and criticism of her father’s priorities.
