Cubana Chief Priest sends heartfelt message to Davido, calls him his treasure

As anticipation builds for Davido’s fifth studio album, 5ive, his longtime friend and hype man, Cubana Chief Priest, has taken to Instagram to pen a touching tribute to the Afrobeats heavyweight.
In his heartfelt post, the celebrity businessman described Davido as not just a best friend but a priceless gem he’s committed to shielding for life.
According to Chief Priest, Davido’s music has been a life-giving force, so much so that it inspired him to venture into music himself.

Their bond goes beyond industry camaraderie—it’s brotherhood. From public declarations of loyalty to being a part of each other’s biggest life moments—including Chief Priest standing by Davido’s side as a groomsman during his headline-making wedding in 2024—the duo continues to celebrate their unshakeable friendship.
The bromance even extends into music. Recently, Cubana Chief Priest dropped his debut single More Money, a high-energy collaboration featuring Boypee, Hyce, and Brown Joel—executive produced by none other than Davido. It was a powerful stamp of support and yet another moment that showcased their dynamic synergy.
With 5ive dropping on April 18, fans can expect Chief Priest to be one of the album’s loudest champions. And rightfully so—the project boasts a star-studded lineup that reflects Davido’s global reach and musical versatility.
The album features Afrobeats sensations Omah Lay and Victony, alongside Nigerian heavy-hitters OdumoduBlvck and Chike (who features on the track “Fund”). Jamaican artist YG Marley kicks off the international features with “Awuke,” the album’s lead single, while Caribbean stars Shensea and 450 add their unique flair.
Davido’s longtime collaborator Chris Brown returns, joined by three-time Grammy winner Victoria Monét and Latin pop star Becky G. South African hitmaker Musa Keys, who teamed up with Davido on the Grammy-nominated hit “Unavailable,” also cuts.
Adding to the global vibe are French chart-toppers Dadju and Tayc—further proof that 5ive is not just an album but a worldwide celebration of sound, culture, and connection.
