Manchester United rebel Cristiano Ronaldo reveals who he wants to win the Premier League.
Manchester United rebel Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed who he wants to win the Premier League title, surprisingly admitting he would like to see Arsenal win the Premier League this season.
This week, Ronaldo has been in the news after participating in an exclusive interview with Piers Morgan in which he made disparaging remarks about the situation of Manchester United and harsh criticism of his present and past colleagues as well as manager Erik ten Hag.
More shocking and humorous discoveries were revealed in the second segment of the interview, which aired on Thursday night. Morgan, an Arsenal fan himself, asked the 37-year-old if he would like to see the Gunners win the Premier League.

Answering Morgan’s question, the Portuguese forward said on TalkTV: ‘I hope so,’ before, quickly adding: ‘Manchester first, and if not, Arsenal is some team that I like to see play.
‘I like the team. I like the coach. I think they have a good team. And if Manchester United don’t win the Premier League, I will be happy if Arsenal do.’
The Premier League is of course on hold until Boxing Day while the Qatar World Cup takes place, with Ronaldo aiming to win the tournament on what will almost certainly be his fifth and final attempt.
Discussing Portugal’s chances he said: ‘I am very optimistic. We have a fantastic coach, we have a good generation of football players.
‘I’m looking forward that we’re going to it an amazing World Cup. [It’s] gonna be tough. Extremely difficult. But everything is possible. But of course we’re gonna compete.’
