Mavin artist, Crayon has revealed how Wizkid motivated him to go into music.
Crayon has revealed that Wizkid is one of the artists that inspired him to go into music.
He revealed this during a recent question and answer session with fans on Twitter.
A fan has asked what inspired the ‘So Fine” singer to go into music and he replied;
“Wizkid when I saw wizkid on tv I legit told my mum that I want to be like him! back in 2011 superstar album was the first album I bought with my hard earned money, I bought the album in traffic at iyanaiba ! Now that I’m artist I feel so bad for but that album for that amount tbh”

Explaining why he was nicknamed ‘music library’ by his friends, he said;
“I know all the songs no worry ! If my friends Dey find song , them go say go ask chibueze him to know am and e sure dieee I know am and most of my friends were using smart phones me na black nokia touch light phone wey get that orange lining around Na him I Dey use then”
He also showered accolades on Mavin producer, BabyFresh who he described as his dad, friend, amongst other things for changing his life.
“Babyfresh! Babyfresh!!! Babyfresh I can’t thank you enough , more like a dad, my friend , my guy, my business partner, my advisor, my producer, my vibe partner in the studio, you called me called back then in 2017 December……I no fit forget laye mi!!!”

He also revealed that BabyFresh was the one who advised him to stop using drugs.
“You advised me to stop codeine, trams, ref,the only thing i did not do then was weed! Babyfresh you said that I’m too talented to waste my life in the hood, mind you I was still making music then though I dropped 7 songs on my own to manager nobody just me and Ozedikus…..”
“That I should come to the island and come and stay with him in the Mavin Hq cold catch me I no believe Wetin I Dey hear! Ahhh babyfresh you sacrificed a lot for me and da geng you know the geng!”
He shared the names of the songs he recorded before he got signed to the Mavin Record label.
“Sofine , gock am ,bamiloke , aye o, unusual and a lot more songs omo bro me and Rema were just recording…..nobody assured us anything! we just Dey sneak in they work for mid night when all the super stars no get session crazy lol”
