Nigerian musical artist Charles Chibueze Chukwu famously known as Crayon went down memory lane as he visited his old neighbourhood where he was born.
The singer took to Instagram to post videos of his visit to his former house at Orile Iganmu. He shared that his old landlady, a Togolese didn’t recognize him until he called his mother.
He also paid a visit to his primary and secondary school and met a former teacher, ‘Aunty Nurse’ who prayed for him on the street.
The Mavin act said he taught the kids his ‘Ijo Laba Laba‘ dance just to inspire them that anyone can be a star.

In his words;
“So I went to where I was born in orile iganmu, no 1 nurudeen street, i visited my former house were I was born and the crazy thing is the landlady who is a Togolese couldn’t recognize me cos we moved from here to ojo when I was 7 years old hence why I’m wearing the number 7 jersey, I tried explaining myself she still couldn’t recognize me, so had to call my mum and she spoke to her and she eventually recognized me ????????????????????
it was so emotional for me cos I remember we used to stay in “1 room face me I face you “in that same compound, I thought it was 7 people in a room but my mum confirmed that it was actually 9 people in a room ????????????????
I remember just like yesterday when awilo longomba was the shit I used to be the best dancer even though the landlady was Togolese ????❤️ crazy, I know I look all fresh and cleaned up now but trust me I’m the real trench kid (omo adugbo).
I also visited my nursery and primary sch “ABS” on my way coming back I met my primary sch teacher on the road “Aunty nurse” yeah that’s the woman putting on a yellow shirt , the crazy thing is she recognized me she said my face didn’t change at all and then she started praying for me in the middle of road I was so emotional ???????????? and now coming back as the only star the street have ever produced is a testimony for me and my family ???????????? .
I had to show them ijo laba laba dance just to inspire the kids that anyone can be a star! It’s doesn’t matter where you re coming from as long as you dey alive you must to reach there on GOD!”
