Organizers claim that after the missed show, the singer assured them of a refund but did not fulfill the promise.

Past Controversies
This is not the first time the Buga crooner has faced backlash over no-shows at concerts.
- In August 2022, he was taken in by Tanzanian police after failing to perform at the Summer Amplified concert despite allegedly receiving full payment. The show’s organizers, Big Step Consultancy, later apologized to fans and vowed to hold those involved accountable. Kizz Daniel later clarified that he was not arrested but only questioned briefly.
- Again, in July 2022, the singer sparked outrage at his sold-out Afronation US Classic concert in Maryland, where he appeared over four hours late. He was booed and pelted with objects by angry fans after delivering a rushed 30-minute performance.
