Bashir Ahmad Issues Stern Warning to Davido Over Controversial Video, Urges Caution
Bashir Ahmad, a former aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, has responded to Davido’s decision to delete the controversial video of his signee, Logos Olori’s new single ‘Jaye Lo’ from his Twitter page.
The short clip featured people praying and dancing in front of a mosque, which drew widespread condemnation and accusations of disrespect towards Islam.
After initially ignoring the criticisms, Davido eventually removed the video from his page, which was welcomed by many, including Bashir Ahmad. The Kano-born politician and former House of Representatives aspirant expressed relief that Davido had taken down the “offensive and hurtful video.”
“Hopefully, the entire scene will also be deleted from the actual footage before releasing it to the market, and we humbly urge that the same grave mistake should never happen again from him or anyone else,” he tweeted.
“Let’s strive to listen with empathy, understand with an open heart, and respect each other’s values and beliefs…”
It is good to discover that Davido deleted that offensive and hurtful video. Hopefully, the entire scene will also be deleted from the actual footage before releasing it to the market, and we humbly urge that the same grave mistake should never happen again from him or anyone…
