Conor Gallagher has verbally agreed terms and said YES to join Atlético Madrid
According to reports, Conor Gallagher has agreed to terms with Atlético Madrid and is set to fly to Spain on Monday to finalize the deal and complete all formalities.
Atlético Madrid had set a deadline for this weekend to resolve the situation. Chelsea had accepted their €40m (£33m) offer a while ago, but Gallagher needed some convincing to relocate to Madrid. A five-year deal awaits him in the Spanish capital.

Chelsea made a token attempt to keep their academy midfielder by offering a two-year deal (plus an option) and threatening to exile him to the reserves if he didn’t agree to the extension. This approach did not create a favorable situation for Gallagher.
Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid have also reportedly agreed to a deal for Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra, which initially cast doubt on the Gallagher deal. It remains unclear if Atlético will still proceed with Guerra’s signing if they complete Gallagher’s transfer.
Despite potential uncertainties, it appears that Conor Gallagher is on his way to Atlético Madrid, barring any unexpected developments.
