CKay shares snippet & release date for new music
Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer Chukwuka Ekweani, popularly known as CKay, is set to release his highly anticipated new single, “Egwu Eji.”
The emo-afrobeats star announced this as his second official single of the year, following his earlier release titled “Wahala,” which featured Nigerian hip-hop legend Olamide.
CKay, who recently unveiled his new music imprint, Boyfriend Music, in collaboration with his friend Joseph Salubi, has been making waves with this new venture. The music management and publishing company, which also has an American subsidiary, Boyfrnd Music LLC., aims to support artists, songwriters, and producers globally.
On Wednesday, August 28th, 2024, CKay teased his fans with a snippet of “Egwu Eji,” a song that loosely translates to “something special” in the Igbo language.
The single is scheduled for release on Friday, August 30th, 2024. Fans are eagerly awaiting the track, which promises to showcase CKay’s signature blend of emotional melodies and afrobeats rhythms.
