On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, Ckay took to Twitter to assert his pivotal role in shaping the sound of Afrobeats, particularly highlighting his impact with the introduction of “Emo-Afrobeats,” a blend of Afrobeats, R&B, and pop that has garnered global attention.
Known for his viral hit ‘Love Nwantiti‘, CKay’s tweets emphasized how his innovations have influenced the genre and inspired many artists to adopt similar styles. He confidently declared:
