Love Nwantiti surpassed over 400 million streams on Spotify
The Nigerian multi-talented singer, producer, and songwriter Chukwuka Ekweani, better known as CKay, has set a new landmark for African music on the digital streaming platform Spotify, with his hit song “Love Nwantiti.”
Recall, CKay’s ‘Love Nwantiti’ was released in 2019 and has continued to smash record after record, as it was declared platinum in the UK shortly after it was certified platinum in the US.
After selling over 600,000 units of the blockbuster song, the music star becomes the first Nigerian artist to have a single, ‘Love Nwantiti’ certified platinum by Brit.

However, this is not the only platinum certification this song has received so far, It has also achieved platinum status in Canada, Austria, Italy, New Zealand and Portugal as well.
The singer has continued to break records on the charts and across all streaming platforms, which is a significant accomplishment for the artist and African music in general.
‘Love Nwantiti’ has now surpassed 400 million streams on Spotify, which is the highest ever for African music on the digital streaming platform.
