Love Nwantiti by CKay was the first Afrobeats song to rank on the US Billboard Hot 100 without first charting on the Bubbling Under chart, and the response was mostly negative. On Wednesday, November 10th, 2021, the singer responded to this on his Twitter page.

CKay has had a good run with his song Love Nwantiti, which became a global smash after a TikTok challenge went viral.

TikTok just reported this week that the song has received 15 billion video views on their app.

A few weeks ago, the song was at the top of Youtube’s Global Music Video Chart. He also released a video for the North African remix of the songs, which features El Grande Toto and is one of the most popular versions.

When CKay’s latest US Billboard Hot 100 milestone was revealed, the public’s reaction was less than favourable, prompting the singer to respond.

He remarked in a recent tweet that he does not understand the hatred directed at him and that his accomplishments are for everyone, not just him.
