Ckay’s “Love Nwantiti” earns Platinum certification in the US
CKay joins Wizkid and Tems as the only Nigerian artists to achieve platinum status in the United States with his hit song Love Nwantiti.
CKay’s year 2022 continues getting better as he joins Wizkid and Tems as the only Nigerian musicians to achieve platinum in the United States after a million sales.
Following a successful 2021 with the hit song Love Nwantiti, CKay’s chart success continues to grow. On both the worldwide and US charts, his viral hit song Love Nwantiti has stayed unequalled by a Nigerian.
Love Nwantiti by CKay was the first Nigerian song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 without first charting on the Billboard bubbling under 100.
It also reached number three on the UK Singles Chart before reaching number one on the UK Indie Singles Chart.

This was only the beginning, as it went on to chart at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, No. 2 on the Billboard Global 200, which included and excluded the United States, and No. 1 on the Canadian Hot 100.
Ckay’s Love Nwantiti had initially been certified gold in the United States after selling over 500,000 copies, and in just less than ten months, it had been propelled to the status of platinum after selling over a million copies in the United States.
This is an impressive feat for CKay, and this prompted him to take to his Instagram page to make the announcement.
