Nigerian Fast rising musician Ckay has become the first afrobeat artist on the Billboard Independent Albums Chart.
The Nigerian singer and songwriter Chukwuka Ekwean better known as Ckay as become the first Afrobeat artist to chart on Billboard’s Independent Albums Chart, establishing himself as the New King of Boys.
Recall, Mp3bullet.ng reported that Love Nwantiti is CKay’s first Billboard appearance, debuting on the World Digital Song Sales chart. This was due in large part to his affiliation with Warner Music SA after leaving Chocolate City.
Recently, Ckay’s song “Love Nwantinti” was played Manchester United Fc as they join and vibes to the Afrobeat train.

The crooner of “Love Nwantiti” has added another accomplishment to his remarkable record. With his EP, “CKAY THE FIRST,” he becomes the first African act to enter the Billboard Independent Albums Chart.
Only albums are added to the Charts, as the category clearly indicates, however, He set a record by becoming the first African and afrobeat artist to debut on the Chart using an Extended playlist.
