Chelsea fans divided as Blues release new 2024/25 home kit
Chelsea Football Club has launched its new home kit for the upcoming season, with a design that has polarized opinion among fans. The shirt, unveiled under the tagline “We Burn Blue,” features a unique “melting pot pattern” and orange accents, drawing inspiration from the passion and unity of the Chelsea community.
While some fans have praised the innovative design, many others have expressed disappointment and disbelief, labeling it “the worst kit ever” and “terrible.” Despite the mixed reactions, the shirt is now available for purchase, sans a front-of-shirt sponsor.
This marks the second consecutive season that Chelsea has released a kit without a primary sponsor, following the expiration of their one-year deal with Infinite Athlete.
The company has instead moved to the sleeve of Chelsea’s training kit, leaving the club to explore new sponsorship opportunities.
Reports suggest that Chelsea may opt for a short-term deal, hoping to secure a Champions League spot under new manager Enzo Maresca. Fans can purchase the new home shirt without a sponsor, with the option to buy an updated version if a sponsorship deal is agreed upon.
“We Burn Blue” remains the rallying cry for Chelsea fans, despite the divisive reaction to the new shirt. Only time will tell if the team’s performance on the pitch will unite the fans and justify the bold new design.
New season. New era. New fire.
