Chelsea set to seal sensational tenth summer signing after huge £51m transfer agreement
Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves) to sign winger Pedro Neto. The Blues have identified Neto, 24, as a key transfer target to strengthen their squad this summer.
Despite concerns over his injury history, Chelsea are poised to complete the deal, agreeing on a fee of £51.4 million, with an additional £2.6 million in potential add-ons, according to sources from football.london.
Neto, who contributed three goals and 11 assists in just 24 appearances last season, missed 18 matches due to hamstring injuries. Despite this, Chelsea are keen to add his talent to their ranks and expect him to undergo a medical soon before finalizing the transfer to Stamford Bridge.
Neto’s arrival would mark Chelsea’s tenth signing of the summer, following a series of acquisitions including Tosin Adarabioyo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Filip Jorgensen, Omari Kellyman, Aaron Anselmino, Renato Veiga, Caleb Wiley, Marc Guiu, and Estevao Willian—who is set to join in 2025.

This transfer is set to push Chelsea’s summer spending to over £150 million, surpassing Aston Villa as the Premier League club with the highest transfer outlay so far.
The Blues have also managed to recoup £86 million from player departures, with Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall, Omari Hutchinson, Thiago Silva, Hakim Ziyech, and Malang Sarr among those leaving the club.
While there are concerns about Neto’s injury record—having missed 102 matches over the past four years—his potential as a world-class winger is undeniable.
If Chelsea can keep him fit, Neto will enhance their attacking options, joining the likes of Raheem Sterling, Mykhaylo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, and Cole Palmer. Primarily a right winger, Neto is versatile enough to play on the left or through the middle, adding valuable depth to Chelsea’s frontline.
