Chelsea set to get new shirt sponsor as Blues confident Premier League will approve £40m-a-year deal.
For the 2023–24 season, Chelsea is about to reveal its brand-new front-of-shirt sponsor.
The Blues are reportedly ready to partner with Infinite Athlete in a deal worth about £40m ($50.8m) each year after starting the current season with a blank design on the front of their uniform, according to The Telegraph.
It would seem that the technology company has now reached an agreement with Chelsea and is awaiting approval from the Premier League after first attempting to enter into talks with the Blues to perhaps take over the naming rights at Stamford Bridge.
Having most recently ended their three-year tenure with telecommunications brand ‘3’, Chelsea’s sleek design this season has drawn plenty of admirers for its retro feel without a front-of-shirt sponsor. However, with money and sponsorships ultimately having the final say, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are set to see another design hit the shelves in the weeks that follow.
The Blues are scheduled to play newcomers Luton Town at Stamford Bridge on Friday night after losing to West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday.
