Chelsea Reportedly Complete its First Signing Ahead of Following Season.
According to reports, Chelsea Football Club have made their first signing for the upcoming summer transfer window.
Todd Boehly, who recently assumed ownership of the team, is in charge of building a new roster for the Blues. Christopher Nkunku, a forward for RB Leipzig, has reportedly signed a pre-contract agreement to join the team next summer, according to reports from Chelsea.
Although the French player reportedly underwent his Chelsea medical, he will spend the remainder of the season with the Bundesliga team. Nkunku’s contract, which will see him play for the Blues beginning in the 2023–24 season, is ready to be activated by Chelsea FC.
When the transfer window opens, Chelsea supporters will be hoping that the deal is not hijacked.

Chelsea has a pre-contract agreement in place to sign RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku next summer for over £53million. The 24-year-old – who has eight goals and one assist in 12 games this season – has already undertaken medical tests with the Blues, who are growing in confidence in completing a deal for the France international after a series of meetings between the two clubs.
Chelsea moved swiftly outside of the transfer window by agreeing to pay more than his £53 million release clause, which becomes active in the summer 2023 transfer window, in order to ensure they would prevail in the race for Nkuku’s signature.
Nkunku is eager to relocate to west London, and Graham Potter’s team is now decisively leading the competition for his services over clubs like Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
