Romelu Lukuaku finally on the move! Agreement reached after Napoli make new and improved offer for Chelsea striker
Napoli has submitted a new bid for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, valued at over €30 million (£25m/$33.5m). According to Gianluca Di Marzio, this fresh offer includes add-ons and bonuses, and it aims to bring Lukaku back to Serie A. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that an agreement is now in place between the clubs, with Lukaku set to sign a three-year deal.
Napoli manager Antonio Conte, who previously worked with Lukaku at Inter Milan, is keen on reuniting with the Belgian forward. The new offer, though improved, involves extended payment terms as Napoli remains uncertain about Victor Osimhen’s future. The Nigerian striker has been the subject of transfer speculation, with Chelsea and Arsenal reportedly interested.
Lukaku has spent the last two seasons on loan in Italy, first with Inter Milan and then Roma, where he has demonstrated a strong scoring record with 70 goals in 129 Serie A appearances.
With Chelsea’s large squad and Enzo Maresca indicating that some players will not be considered for selection, Lukaku is eager to finalize his move away from the club.
