Chelsea FC confirm the exit of another defender.
Baba Rahman’s departure from Chelsea Football Club has been officially announced as the club works to cut its roster in preparation for the 2023–24 season.
The 29-year-old signed a three-year deal to join PAOK in the summer transfer window after ending his eight-year stay at Chelsea.
The Blues officially announced on their website that the Ghanaian defender has joined Greek club PAOK, where he had previously played on loan in 2021. In the 2015 summer transfer window, Baba Rahman moved to Chelsea from Augsburg but was unable to make it into the starting lineup.
Before going to Schalke, he spent his first season with Chelsea making 23 appearances. A knee injury occurred to the left-back while he was representing Ghana in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
He frequently spent time on loan at Reims, Real Mallorca, and PAOK. He also participated in the Championship at Reading for the previous two seasons (2021/22, 2022/23).
