Chelsea have completed the signing of goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen from Villarreal.
The Athletic reported that the clubs had agreed on a fee of €24.5 million (£20.7m, $26.6 million) for the 22-year-old, who has signed a seven-year deal running until 2031. Jorgensen will now join Chelsea on their pre-season tour of the United States.

“This move is a dream come true,” Jorgensen said. “I am very excited to have signed for Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world. I can’t wait to get to know everyone and to start playing with all my new teammates.”
Jorgensen established himself as Villarreal’s No. 1 goalkeeper last season, making 37 first-team appearances across all competitions. The Sweden-born goalkeeper, capped up to under-21 level by Denmark, joined Villarreal’s youth system in 2017.

Last season, Djordje Petrovic made the majority of appearances in goal for Chelsea (31) after an injury to Robert Sanchez in December. Marcus Bettinelli and Lucas Bergstrom are other goalkeepers in the first-team squad, while Kepa Arrizabalaga has returned to the club following a season-long loan spell at Real Madrid.
Chelsea have been highly active in the summer transfer market, with six summer signings already secured: Tosin Adarabioyo, Caleb Wiley, Marc Guiu, Omari Kellyman, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Renato Veiga. The London club is also set to sign Aaron Anselmino from Boca Juniors.
Chelsea have confirmed the €57 million signing of Brazilian winger Willian Estevao from Palmeiras. The 17-year-old will officially join up with the squad next summer after he turns 18.
The Athletic reported earlier today that Napoli is in ongoing discussions with Chelsea to sign Romelu Lukaku, while dialogue between the clubs continues about a deal for Victor Osimhen to head in the opposite direction. Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, is in advanced discussions over a move for midfielder Conor Gallagher.
Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall, Omari Hutchinson, Hakim Ziyech, and Thiago Silva are among the players who have left Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis this summer.
