Chella’s ‘My Darling’ is the most Shazamed song in the world

Fast-rising Nigerian singer Chella is making history with his breakout single ‘My Darling,’ released on March 26, 2025.
The song has rapidly captured global attention, especially on TikTok, where it has gone viral with over 2.1 million posts featuring the track.
In a major career milestone, ‘My Darling’ has now reached the No. 1 spot on the Shazam Global Chart, becoming the most searched song worldwide on the platform.
Chella’s hit surpassed Grammy-winning rapper Doechii’s ‘Anxiety’ to claim the top position, further cementing its soaring popularity.
According to Nigerian music data platform Debut Hub, Chella becomes only the fourth Nigerian artist to achieve this feat. He now joins the ranks of Ckay and Wizkid, whose global hits ‘Love Nwantiti’ and ‘Essence’ also topped the Shazam chart.
Chella’s achievement continues Nigeria’s strong presence on the global Shazam chart, which previously saw 10 Afrobeats songs finish among the top 100 most Shazamed tracks of 2022.
