American rapper, singer-songwriter, and record producer Chance The Rapper has recounted his first experience when he entered a Ghanaian nightclub on his first trip to the country.
In an interview with Kojo Manuel, Chance The Rapper revealed that he was taken to The Area Bar in Accra immediately after he dropped his luggage at the hotel where he lodged.
He revealed that he was enjoying the music and interacting with people in the nightclub when suddenly, there was a blackout in the club and the music stopped. He was thrown into a state of confusion and disorientation since he was never experiencing such an event.

However, practically everyone in the club began chanting one of Burna Boy’s most well-known songs, and they continued to do so until the electricity was turned back on.
Chance The Rapper touching on his experience in Ghana stated that he was thrilled with the connection he made with his ancestral root and interacted with the culture and got to know about African history and its patrons.
