Just like yesterday, Canadian rapper, Drake released his fourth studio album, “Views” on the 29th of April, 2016.
We have decided to remember this iconic studio album- (Views) from Drake and a couple of achievements it has bagged over the years!
As stated earlier, On April 29, 2016, Cash Money Records, Republic Records, and Young Money Entertainment released this studio album as Drake’s fourth studio project.
It houses 20 amazing tracks and features the likes of PartyNextDoor, Pimp C, Dvsn, Wizkid, Kyla, and Rihanna.
Likewise, the album marks Drake’s first full foray into Jamaican dancehall music, while also featuring other genres such as R&B, trap, Afrobeat, UK funky, and pop.

Few months after the release of the album, it became the first album ever to hit 1 billion streams on Apple Music.
On the 26th of September, 2016 it made it to the headlines about this achievement!
According to Billboard, Apple CEO Tim Cook, senior vice president of internet software and services Eddy Cue, and Apple Music’s head of content Larry Jackson met up with the Canadian rapper at the San Jose, Calif., stop of his Summer Sixteen tour to celebrate with him, as it is considered a win for both parties.
Another prominent achievement from the album is the number of Platinum certifications by RIAA it has achieved! As a matter of fact, from the 20 track album, 7 tracks have achieved the Platinum Certifications! They include;

Thirdly, the album as a whole has secured Drake 5 amazing Awards including two Grammy nominations!
Upon its release in 2016, it got nominations from three respectable awarding companies and bagged two wins! Likewise, in 2017, it won three awards including the Billboard Top Rap Album.
Fourthly, Views album has a record of spending 258weeks on the Billboard200!
Lastly, it spent a total 13 non-consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard 200, and also became Drake’s first number-one album on the UK Albums Chart.
