Rapper CDQ brags after he was called out for hating on Asake
-
CDQ replies after being called a hater by fans over a comment on Asake’s unreleased music.
In a recent social media post, CDQ responded to criticism for his alleged hatred of YBNL signee Asake.
Although asserting that he is neither envious of nor hateful towards Asake in the post uploaded via the insta-stories part of his verified Instagram page, rapper CDQ describes himself as a hero in the world of street music.
The “Nowo E Soke” singer claims that he serves as an inspiration to several street music artists, including Olamide, Naira Marley, Reminisce, and others.
It all began after Asake released a preview of his next song a few days ago on his verified Instagram page.
However, the upcoming single has received mixed reviews. While some people praised the vocalist, others criticised him for using the same sound.
Speaking for himself, CDQ blasted Asake for adopting the same sound, noting that the song sounds similar to a previous hit single dubbed, Palazzo.
His statement was met with mixed reactions, with many accusing him of hating on Asake’s great career thus far and later referring to rapper CDQ as an aspiring talent.

The rapper responds to the criticism he received after making a remark about Asake by saying that he has inspired many street musicians and that he does not participate in the hypocritical and eye-serving elements of the beef-filled music industry.
CDQ wrote, “FYI, CDQ inspired allllll ur favorite artists on this street thing… so thinking I’m hating on one person is d dumbest thing to ever think of. I only dropped a comment like anyone else would. Count me out of an industry full of hypocrites and eye service… ibiLé Mugabe for a reason.”
