South African superstar, Cassper Nyovest, has candidly shared his emotional journey in response to AKA’s diss track, “Composure,” aimed squarely at him.
In an exclusive interview on L-Tido’s podcast, Cassper disclosed how the hit single had a profound impact on him, particularly given the timing of Kiernan AKA Forbes’ passing.
Months after AKA’s diss track was released, Cassper openly expressed how it kept him awake for nights on end, causing him immense distress. He admitted harboring strong feelings of animosity towards Anatii and all those involved in the creation of the song.
The rapper revealed that the song became an incessant presence in his thoughts, even overshadowing his morning reflections before his then-girlfriend.
Despite initially being played at clubs where he frequented, Cassper’s perspective on the song eventually shifted, leading him to find an unexpected appreciation for a certain part of it.
“That song gave me sleepless nights. Whenever I hear the beat, I would be like, ‘damn.’ I even started enjoying this song or something. I used to like that part he’s (AKA) hehehehe.”
