Popular Nigerian skit maker and livestreamer Carter Efe has recounted an awkward and disappointing encounter involving Grammy-winning Afro-fusion star Burna Boy, an experience he says left him feeling embarrassed.

The content creator shared the story during a recent livestream with fans, revealing that he had spotted Burna Boy at an event and believed the singer had noticed him as well.
According to Carter Efe, Burna Boy appeared to be looking in his direction, giving him the impression that a brief interaction might happen.
However, the situation quickly took an unexpected turn when he attempted to move closer to the superstar. Carter Efe said he was immediately stopped by Burna Boy’s security personnel, who prevented him from approaching the singer.
While acknowledging that the action was likely due to the tight security around the global music star, Carter Efe admitted the incident still affected him emotionally. He explained that access to Burna Boy appeared extremely restricted and that the experience caught him off guard.
“I felt bad,” he said emotionally while narrating the encounter, adding that he did not expect to be blocked in that manner.
The account has since sparked mixed reactions online. While some fans expressed sympathy for Carter Efe, others noted that strict security protocols are common for high-profile celebrities and are often necessary to ensure their safety at public events.
