Cardi B sets a record as she becomes the first female rapper to have one of her songs diamond certified.
On March 8, 2021, “Bodak Yellow” by Cardi B, officially became a certified diamond song by the RIAA.
This makes her the first female rapper to have a song go diamond or sell more than 10 million units.
RIAA in a tweet from their page revealed this on March 9.

Moreover, this is the song that earned the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2017, upon its release in June that year.
Also, “Bodak Yellow” was the first song by a solo woman rapper to land at No. 1 in 19 years.
