Caicedo reveals he wants Brighton exit at awards ceremony
Moises Caicedo, the talented Ecuadorian midfielder, has expressed his desire to leave Brighton & Hove Albion during the club’s 2022/23 awards night.
According to Sussex World, he didn’t specifically mention Chelsea, the club has been linked with him for some time.
During the awards evening, Caicedo informed guests that he wants to move on from Brighton, and this news may prompt the club to reconsider their valuation of him.
Brighton had previously rejected three bids from Chelsea, with the latest offer being £80 million. However, the Seagulls value Caicedo at £100 million.
With Caicedo’s desire to leave now public, it remains to be seen if Chelsea will make another bid and whether Brighton will be willing to reduce their asking price to facilitate the midfielder’s potential move to Stamford Bridge.
