Burna Boy’s Mom reveals what she and her son disagree with the most.
Bose Ogulu, the mother and manager of Afrobeat Giant, Burna Boy has revealed the most difficult element of her job in a new video on CNN’s African Voices.
Bose Ogulu, was also featured on a recent CNN African Voices piece about Burna, and she revealed the most difficult aspect of managing the Grammy winner.

Burna Boy and his team were interviewed for a CNN feature in order to bring the public closer to what goes on behind the scenes.
Burna Boy, as well as his mother and manager, Bose Ogulu, were questioned. Ronami Ogulu, his sister who also acts as his creative director, was also interviewed.
Burna Boy’s mother, Bose Ogulu, admitted to CNN African Voices that the most difficult aspect of managing him was their disagreement about spending.

She noted that they have opposing viewpoints on how money should be spent. She also described how she was able to reach an agreement with him on the issue.
In her words;
“Expenditure? We don’t think we should be spending money on the same things. He wants, you know…’I want to create this, I want this, I want that.’ ‘And I want it to look like this’ Even for video shoots. I want a thousand people there, I want to be on top of you know, the tallest building in the world.’ So he comes up with really crazy ideas. Not really thinking about what it costs or what it doesn’t cost.
And so my first reaction used to be no that’s not going to work. I mean how are we going to make back that money. And then I learned, well okay, you know it’s not no, it’s just, let’s find a way of still making it look like he wants or close to what he wants without spending as much. “
