Burna Boy’s management confirm why his concert in South Africa was postponed.
Burna Boy’s management company, On A Spaceship Management, has issued an official statement explaining why his South Africa concert has been rescheduled.
After the recent announcement of the rescheduling of Burna Boy’s performance at FNB Stadium in South Africa, initially slated for September 23, 2023, the management, of On A Spaceship, has clarified the cause of the postponement.
Contrary to initial reports suggesting low ticket sales, the management confirmed that the postponement is primarily attributed to production-related challenges, and a new concert date has yet to be finalized.
The statement released stated, “Sadly, it is with great regret that we must inform you that despite my team’s effort, the show in Johannesburg on September 23rd will be cancelled due to the inability of the promoters to fulfil their contractual, financial, production, and technical obligations.
Production vendors have still not been paid, and as such, it is evident at this point that the agreed production standard needed for this venue size can not be achieved. We hereby state that all ticketing companies must ensure that is refunded in full. Deepest apologies to all fans, looking forward to seeing you all soon.”
Burna Boy addressed the speculations surrounding the concert’s cancellation, dismissing them as unfounded agendas. He reassured his fans that he would be making an appearance in South Africa in the near future.
