Burna Boy’s ‘Gbona’ receives platinum certification in France.
Nigerian Grammy Award-winning artist Burna Boy has added another platinum certification to his impressive collection. Ever since achieving international fame with ‘YE’ in 2018, Burna Boy has experienced significant commercial success, earning multiple awards and amassing billions of streams for his songs.
In another remarkable achievement, Burna Boy’s track ‘Gbona‘ from his 2019 Grammy-nominated album ‘African Giant‘ has earned platinum certification from SNEP in France, surpassing 150,000 units in sales.

‘Gbona‘ now marks Burna Boy’s second platinum certification in France, following the success of his hit single ‘On The Low.‘ Furthermore, ‘Alone,’ his contribution to Marvel’s ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever‘ soundtrack, has been certified Gold by SNEP.

Since achieving international acclaim in 2018 with ‘YE,’ Burna Boy has solidified his position as one of the world’s most prominent artists, thanks to his substantial commercial success, which has positioned him as one of Africa’s foremost musical exports.
Starting in 2019, Burna Boy has released four albums, with his 2020 release, ‘Twice As Tall,’ earning him a Grammy Award for Best World Album.
His 2022 album, ‘Love, Damini,’ received a Grammy nomination, and his hit track ‘Last Last‘ propelled him to global superstar status, leading to sold-out stadium concerts across Europe. Burna Boy recently achieved a remarkable feat by receiving a record 11 certifications from TurnTable Charts, with his album ‘Love, Damini‘ being certified 5 times platinum, setting a new record in Nigeria.
