Nigerian superstar Burna Boy’s fourth studio album, “African Giant,” has surpassed 900 million streams on Spotify, marking a significant milestone in his career. Released on July 26, 2019, the album has become his second most-streamed album on the platform, supported by eight singles.
This achievement comes closely behind his album “Love, Damini,” which has amassed over 1.1 billion streams on Spotify. With two albums surpassing 900 million streams, Burna Boy becomes the only African artist to achieve this feat on Spotify, solidifying his position as a trailblazer in the global music scene.

Superstar Burna Boy has propelled the ‘Twala Bam‘ remix to the top of Nigeria’s biggest music chart. His collaboration with fast-rising South African sensations Titom and Yuppe on the remix of their viral hit single ‘Twala Bam‘ has solidified his hitmaking prowess.
In the chart week dated May 17 – 23, 2024, the ‘Twala Bam‘ remix soared six places to reach the summit, marking a record-breaking achievement. Titom and Yuppe became the first South African acts to top the TurnTable Top 100, and only the second non-Nigerian artists to do so as lead acts, following Gyakie’s chart-topping single ‘Forever’ remix featuring Omah Lay.
Released on May 13, 2024, the ‘Twala Bam‘ remix has enjoyed commercial success across streaming platforms and radio stations. During the charting week, the song was the most streamed on YouTube Nigeria, garnering 697,000 streams, boosted by its music video.
