African giant isn’t just a compliment, but a title Burna Boy has earned, as he emerges as the first Afrobeat artiste to perform at the Grammys, BET, and BRIT Award shows.
On the 2nd of March, Grammy announced the performers of their forthcoming ceremony, and to everyone’s surprise, Nigeria’s Burna Boy has been certified as one.
While he holds the title of the first Afrobeat artiste to be nominated for Grammy back to back, Burna will also be the first Afrobeat artiste to perform at the event.

Likewise, in 2020, he performed both at the BET and BRIT Awards.
Alongside Burna Boy, Stormzy Sizzles & Tiana Major9 performed at the 2020 Brit Awards.
After Stormzy performed his song, Burna Boy joined him on stage to perform their hit “Own It“.
Also, in a bid to spice things up, Burna later performed his energetic “Anybody” hit single.
Later that year, on Oct. 27, 2020, Burna Boy performed at the BET Hip Hop Awards.
He performed a groundbreaking performance with his single “Monsters You Made” featuring Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
However, in the virtual form because of the COVID 19 pandemic, but it was still an epic performance.
