Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy, joined Chuck Dizzle and DJ Hed on Home Grown Radio on October 9, 2021.
During the interview, Burna Boy, who had just performed at the Hollywood Bowl talked about his performance, pioneering Afro-fusion, receiving a Grammy for Best World Music Album, and more.
When asked about the wildness of his adolescence, the African Giant claims that it shaped him into the artist he is today.
He then continues,
“My genre of music that I started is called Afro-Fusion; which is like a fusion of Afrobeats with… I feel like Afro-Fusion was only able to come out of me because I experienced all these sounds and genres.”
Burna Boy also revealed during the interview that his new single, ‘Want It All,’ featuring Polo G, has a clean version.

When DJ Hed asked Burna Boy who he’d like to collaborate with on an album, the Grammy winner smiled brightly, as did an anonymous woman in the background.
With the mischievous smile, he then says,
“I don’t want to give you that… But you’re smart though.”
When DJ Hed pressed the Port Harcourt native regarding the potential of collaborating with Polo G on an album, he said,
“I don’t know. I don’t even speak English… [laughs].”
Hed then jokes,
“So Polo G collab album coming soon.”
Since Q4 2020, rumours of a Wizkid and Burna Boy collaboration album or EP have been circulating.
