“Odogwu own come pass Ceaser” – Burna Boy beats other celebrities at the Met Gala as he flaunts luxurious wrist watch worth $800,000 (N1.2B)

Renowned Nigerian artist Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, is earning widespread praise across social media for proudly representing Nigeria on the global stage—not just with his music, but also through his striking fashion choices at the recently concluded 2025 Met Gala.
This wave of admiration follows earlier backlash Burna Boy faced online after a controversial moment at the Met Gala after-party, where he was caught asking the DJ to skip Davido’s verse from their collaborative track Kante.
The prestigious Met Gala took place on May 5, 2025, at the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. It featured a strong African presence, with top acts like Burna Boy, Tems, Ayra Starr, and South African singer Tyla all in attendance.
In a new viral video circulating online, Burna Boy was seen participating in a celebrity wristwatch showcase. Several stars flaunted their luxurious timepieces, but it was Burna Boy’s extravagant wristwatch that ultimately stole the spotlight.
The video began with a Rolex Daytona “Rainbow,” valued at $486,000 (₦782 million), followed by a Luminor Quaranta BiTempo Goldtech worth $30,000 (₦48.2 million), and an H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Tourbillon Vantablack priced at $83,000 (₦133.5 million).
Burna Boy then unveiled his Jacob & Co Caviar Tourbillon, an opulent watch priced at a staggering $800,000—roughly ₦1.2 billion—making it the most expensive piece in the lineup.
Rounding out the showcase were an unreleased Omega Speedmaster in 18k gold and an Omega Aqua Terra valued at $18,000 (₦29 million).
